I love beaches.
An afternoon along the charming chilly Surfers’ Paradise, the amazing clouds blew me away. This was really different from my Boracay experience.

When the sun’s out, it’s awfully pretty.
From Surfers’ Paradise to Burleigh Heads, Gold Coast has a long stretch of coastline that attracts both surfers and leisure beach-goers.

I have no idea what’s this bird though, could anyone tell me?
If you take a 15 minutes drive down to Burleigh Head (伯利岬) National Park, you can actually see Surfers’ Paradise from afar. With the sun setting in a distance, it’s an amazing view with the evening light on the waves.
Surfers code, found near the Burleigh Head beach area.
Those black speckles in a distance were actually surfers battling the evening currents.

My take
Visiting Gold Coast has been made easier with the launch of the route by Scoot, but since the Auzzie dollar is still strong, no harm planning some FOC (try to get a bicycle from your accommodation or spend a little renting a bicycle) sight-seeing activities that you can do along this stretch.
You can choose to cycle (cater for 45 minutes, in case you decide to stop along the way to check out other spots) or drive (15 minutes).

that bird is a sacred ibis.
Thanks Nel for the tip! 🙂 This is the Australian White Ibis (I googled “sacred Ibis” & this came out). hee
