November is the start of the peak season in Phuket. Tourists from Europe flock in for the warmth and the beach when it gets really cold in at home.
Patong, being the most famous beach in Phuket attracts loads of tourists all year round.
Pretty amazing to try out para-sailing in this area 🙂
And so, when we moved to Kata beach the next day, we had our fun! Para-sailing flight time here takes about 10 minutes , priced around 1500 baht. Not the most value-worthy activity to do, but with the gorgeous sunset as backdrop, it’s picturesque.
Prep-ing myself for the flight. My first parasailing experience, right here in Kata!
Having seen some lady dropped from 3m height earlier in the afternoon wasn’t too encouraging, so I’m counting on lots of luck for a safe flight.
Prep-ing the sail.
Flying to the sun 🙂
You get a little busy up there, trying to take snap shots while cruising around the area.
Attempting a selfie while parasailing 😀
The crew behind me had no safety harness at all. I was shocked, but we must agree he’s really skilled yeah?
Victory pose and a nice end to the day 🙂
The majority of these pictures were shot on the Sony NEX cam.
