花香、美食|| Bloom and Goute Cafe

Bloom & Goute

Flowers and cake cafe as it states, you get customers who come for the flowers as well as the food at Bloom and Goute.

Situated off the main Garosu-gil, you can get a little lost when you are trying to get to the cafe, but once you reach it, you have entered a world of lovely sleepy atmosphere, the type I like when I want an intimate and cosy catch up conversation with my friends.

Once you step in, you are greeted by a variety of cakes, calling out to you in that display fridge. Spoilt for choice I would say.

Lasagna 15,000 won

Hungry Joo wanted some savory goodness, explains why the lasagna was there. Fresh out from the oven, it was yums for the tums. Dessert was one of the freshest and lightest mille crepe I had, ever.  I was actually craving for it in the next few days.

My Take

Although I couldn’t speak Korean, the staff made me feel at home with the prompt and friendly service.

Food was of reasonable quality // I really like the mille crepe though. Didn’t have space for another coffee, but I will definitely re-visit when I return to Seoul 🙂

Some other must tries include the croque monsieur or the eggs benedict.

About Garosu-gil

I never fail to visit Garosu-gil quite a bit when I’m in Seoul as it really does have that al-fresco, espresso-sipping ambience you might find in Paris (but hey, I haven’t been to Paris at this point of time so maybe you guys out there who have been to both places can let me know if it’s actually accurate).

You can shop along the street which is lined with a mixture of indie stores and international brands.

Address
534-6 Sinsa-dong

Nearest train station: Sinsa, exit 8.

Walk a few blocks and take a left at J tower. Take another left at Olive Young, then another right at the first side street. When you pass Ikovox coffee to the right, it’s the next side street after to the right. (Walking directions provided by Seoul in the city )
